When you sync a property on a Guesty-connected site, you may see the notice ‘Failed to synchronize property data. Error: Invalid image type’. Text fields still sync, but the property ends up with no featured image.
Why this happens. Guesty’s photo host delivers some listing photos without a file type label. Older versions of the HomeRunner plugin cannot identify these files as images, so the featured-image step of the sync stops with this error.
How to fix it.
- Update the HomeRunner Toolkit to version 3.248.0 or newer from Dashboard → Updates.
- Open the affected property.
- Click Synchronize again.
The featured image imports and the error notice clears. If many properties are missing their featured image, contact support to run a one-time re-sync across the site, which takes a few minutes.
