When a dated search returns no available properties, your site can suggest nearby dates instead of an empty result. This behavior is available starting with HomeRunner Toolkit 3.217.3. Earlier versions do not show suggestions.
What guests see. Once the plugin is updated to 3.217.3 or later, any dated search with zero results shows a suggestion box reading "No matches for [your dates]. Try one of these instead:" with tappable date-range chips. The chips keep the guest’s original stay length and shift the window to nearby weeks. Clicking a chip re-runs the search with the new dates and preserves all other filters, such as guests, amenities, and location.
Where it works. Suggestions appear on both the Searchbar Pro bar and the classic Explorer filter bar, in both exact-date and flexible-date searches. For flexible searches, the suggestions match the chosen stay length and month.
When suggestions do not appear. If the real reason for zero results is a minimum-night requirement, for example a 1-night search where the property requires 2 nights, your guests see the minimum-stay explanation instead, which tells them how many nights those dates require. The two features coordinate so the more specific explanation takes priority. Searches with no dates selected keep the standard "No properties found" message. Suggestions only appear when the guest has actually picked dates.
Setup. No configuration is required. The behavior is part of the Flexible Search module’s empty-state handling and activates automatically after the plugin update.
