Keep OwnerRez as your system of record.
HomeRunner adds a booking engine to your own website; it does not replace OwnerRez. Your property data comes from OwnerRez, and OwnerRez still creates the reservation and takes the payment.
The OwnerRez connection supports webhooks, so updates such as new bookings and price changes reach HomeRunner near-instantly instead of waiting for a scheduled sync; you can also set an auto sync interval or run a manual sync.
- Listings & photos
- Listings and custom fields come from your OwnerRez account, and amenities, bed types, bed counts, descriptions, house rules and photos sync once the WordPress Plugin + Integrated Websites feature is enabled in OwnerRez.
- Rates & availability
- OwnerRez supplies calendar availability, and HomeRunner pulls live pricing quotes through an OwnerRez Booking/Inquiry widget, so the connection needs a widget ID.
- Reservations
- Guests complete the booking on OwnerRez’s own booking page, so OwnerRez creates the reservation and HomeRunner does not. OwnerRez can then send the guest back to your site with the booking number.
- Guest reviews
- Review import from OwnerRez is supported.
- Offers & discounts
- Coupon validation is supported. OwnerRez automatic discounts such as Last Minute and Early Bird apply on your site when the rule is set to all listing sites or to an “everything except” list.

Getting connected
How to connect OwnerRez to your website.
You will need a website, HomeRunner and access to your OwnerRez account, with the WordPress Plugin + Integrated Websites feature enabled. WordPress and custom-coded sites are live today; Squarespace, Webflow and Wix are in early access.

Enable the OwnerRez feature
Turn on the WordPress Plugin + Integrated Websites feature in your OwnerRez settings so listing content such as descriptions, amenities and photos can sync.
Authorize HomeRunner in OwnerRez
In the HomeRunner dashboard, add a new PMS connection, choose OwnerRez, then log in to OwnerRez to approve access.
Add your widget ID
Create a Booking/Inquiry widget in OwnerRez, or use one you already have, and add its widget ID to your HomeRunner connection so your property pages can show live quotes.
Sync and test the booking journey
Run a sync to bring your OwnerRez data across, check listings and quotes on your site, then make a test booking through OwnerRez’s booking page.
Bookings & payments
Quotes on your site. Payment on OwnerRez.
The OwnerRez connection uses a hosted checkout. Guests browse, check dates and see a live quote on your site; when they click Book, the site sends them to OwnerRez’s own secure booking page on booking.ownerrez.com to pay. Direct checkout on your site and HomeRunner’s external payment gateways are not available with OwnerRez. OwnerRez’s own widgets also send guests to OwnerRez’s pages to enter their details.
OwnerRez can return guests to your site after booking: set a Redirect After Booking URL on each property, and OwnerRez sends the guest back with the booking number. HomeRunner’s conversion tracking for OwnerRez sites can record the handoff and the return in GA4 and Meta. The return event carries the booking number, not the booking total; for the total, OwnerRez can report the purchase to GA4 and Meta from its own booking page.
Planning to offer discounts? Coupon validation is supported, and the discount guide explains the listing-site setting that decides whether an OwnerRez automatic discount such as Last Minute or Early Bird applies on your site. Upsells through HomeRunner are not available with OwnerRez.

HomeRunner is another route for teams that want a connected booking engine on the website they already own, with OwnerRez listings, photos, availability and live quotes presented in your own theme and content.

HomeRunner charges a flat monthly fee by listing count and takes no percentage of the bookings your guests complete in OwnerRez.
OwnerRez charges are separate, including its WordPress Plugin + Integrated Websites premium feature, which OwnerRez invoices monthly by property count; so are payment processing, hosting and website design.

Talk through your setupDoes HomeRunner replace OwnerRez?
No. OwnerRez remains your property management system and system of record: it creates the reservation and takes the payment. HomeRunner adds property search, property pages and live OwnerRez quotes to your website.
Is this OwnerRez’s own WordPress plugin?
No. OwnerRez publishes its own native WordPress plugin, built in-house, which syncs properties, rates and rules and renders through shortcodes and widgets. HomeRunner is a separate booking engine with an OwnerRez integration. On WordPress it installs as a plugin; custom-coded sites are live too, with Squarespace, Webflow and Wix in early access. OwnerRez states its own plugin isn’t compatible with WordPress themes or plugins that provide their own booking functionality, so plan on one booking route per site.
Do guests stay on my domain with OwnerRez?
Not for payment. Guests browse, check dates and see live quotes on your site, then pay on OwnerRez’s secure booking page on booking.ownerrez.com. Set a Redirect After Booking URL in OwnerRez and guests return to your site with their booking number.
Are bookings recorded in OwnerRez?
Yes. The guest completes the booking on OwnerRez’s own booking page, so OwnerRez creates the reservation itself, with its usual system messages and triggers. HomeRunner does not create it.
Can I offer OwnerRez promo codes and discounts?
Yes. Coupon validation is supported. OwnerRez automatic discounts such as Last Minute and Early Bird apply on your site when the rule is set to all listing sites or to an “everything except” list; a rule restricted to a named list is skipped, and adding “My Website” to that list does not cover your HomeRunner site today.
Can I use my existing website with OwnerRez?
Yes. HomeRunner is added to the site you already run, without a rebuild. Your OwnerRez listings and live quotes appear in that site’s existing design, or in a studio template or custom website if you want a new one.
