If the AI Concierge seems to ignore part of the text you entered in Local Knowledge, the text is likely longer than the field allows.
Why this happens. The Local Knowledge field has a 1,000-character cap. Only the first 1,000 characters are passed to the concierge on each turn, so anything beyond that is cut off and never reaches the AI.
What you can do.
- Shorten Local Knowledge to a brief summary of your area, a few sentences long.
- Move longer reference material, such as detailed policies, lists, and FAQs, into the Custom Instructions field on the same screen. This field is passed to the concierge in full.
- Save your changes.
- Open the chat on your site and ask a question that depends on the text you moved to confirm the concierge picks it up correctly.
