A property page URL is your site address plus the property’s slug, which is the last part of the URL. How the slug is set depends on your site’s sync configuration, so support confirms which case applies before changing it.
How the slug is set.
- By default, the slug is generated from the property title as it was when the property was first added to the website.
- On some sites, the slug is pulled from a custom field filled out in your PMS. On these sites, the slug has to be changed in the PMS custom field, because a direct edit on the website is overwritten on the next sync.
What happens when the slug changes. Once support confirms which case applies, the slug is changed the correct way for your site. A redirect is then added from the old URL to the new one, so existing links (guest messages, PMS listings, guidebooks, search engines) keep working instead of showing a Page Not Found.
To request a change. Send support the property and the new URL you want, and support handles the whole change.
