Correcting machine-translated text with GTranslate

If a word or phrase on your multilingual site is translated incorrectly, you can correct it yourself.

Text translated by GTranslate. The paid GTranslate plan includes a translation editor inside your GTranslate dashboard at gtranslate.io.

  1. Log in to the GTranslate account linked to your site.
  2. Find the phrase you want to fix.
  3. Save the corrected version.

GTranslate stores your correction and reuses it, so the fixed wording stays in place going forward.

Text that comes from your PMS. If the text comes from your PMS, for example a per-language property description field in Guesty, edit it in your PMS instead. Changes made in your PMS flow through to the site automatically.

Text you do not need to edit. Proper nouns such as town names, and interface labels that are pinned in the site’s code, are already excluded from machine translation. You do not need to edit them in GTranslate.
