# Guesty sync error: Invalid image type

When you sync a property on a Guesty-connected site, you may see the notice 'Failed to synchronize property data. Error: Invalid image type'. Text fields still sync, but the property ends up with no featured image.

**Why this happens.** Guesty's photo host delivers some listing photos without a file type label. Older versions of the HomeRunner plugin cannot identify these files as images, so the featured-image step of the sync stops with this error.

**How to fix it.**

1. Update the HomeRunner Toolkit to version 3.248.0 or newer from **Dashboard → Updates**.
2. Open the affected property.
3. Click **Synchronize** again.

The featured image imports and the error notice clears. If many properties are missing their featured image, contact support to run a one-time re-sync across the site, which takes a few minutes.
