AI assistants cannot show prices or availability

ChatGPT, Claude, or another AI assistant finds your vacation rental homes but cannot tell guests a price or whether their dates are available.

Turn on the AI Booking Channel. This is the most common cause. Without the channel, a listing page shows an AI assistant only a general nightly rate. The calendar and quote data load in the browser, so an assistant cannot read them. When you turn the channel on in the HomeRunner Toolkit Hub, your site publishes a machine-readable page per home with 90 days of nightly rates and availability, an AI sitemap, and a catalog file. In the channel settings, enter the business name, phone, and contact email you want assistants to show guests.

Check your minimum stay rules. If a home requires three nights over the requested dates, a two-night request has no price in the feed at all. The feed does state the per-night minimum, so an assistant can at least explain the restriction.

Check Cloudflare. If your domain runs through Cloudflare, check whether Block AI bots is enabled under Security Settings. That setting turns away the ChatGPT crawler (GPTBot) and the Claude crawler (ClaudeBot). Switch it off, or add those crawlers to an allow list, so assistants can read the published pages. In the Toolkit, Run reachability test under Crawler access shows which crawler names your site is currently blocking.

Allow time for indexing. New sites take time to appear in an assistant’s search index. Publishing the AI sitemap gives assistants a direct path to your content, but appearing unprompted in answers depends on indexing, which takes additional time.
