After you click Save, your AI Search Enhancer settings, including your OpenRouter API key, are suddenly empty.
Why this happens. This is a confirmed bug in the AI Search Enhancer plugin, present from v1.49.7 through v1.76.3. The Property Page Experience section has its own Save button. Instead of saving only that section’s two fields, clicking it unintentionally clears every other setting in the plugin.
What you can do.
- Update the AI Search Enhancer plugin to v1.76.4 or later, which corrects the cause.
- Re-enter your settings after updating, starting with the OpenRouter API key, then review the rest of the settings page.
The update stops this from happening again, but it cannot recover values that were already cleared.
Knowledge Base custom field. The property Knowledge Base custom field is not restored automatically, because an empty value there is a valid choice. Check that field’s value yourself after updating.
