The HomeRunner plugin pushes standard GA4 ecommerce events to the data layer automatically.
Events sent. view_item_list fires on the results grid. search fires when a search is submitted. select_item fires when a user clicks into a property. view_item fires on the property page. begin_checkout fires on the checkout page. purchase fires on a confirmed reservation and includes the booking total, currency, and a unique transaction ID.
Inquiry reservations. For inquiry-style reservations that are not yet confirmed, generate_lead is sent instead of purchase.
Setup. GA4 event triggering is controlled by the analytics setting in HomeRunner Settings. You supply the GTM container and the GA4 property, and the plugin handles emitting the events.
