In GA4, a single booking can show several items purchased, with taxes and fees listed as separate items.
Why this happens. By default, the booking engine sends the property as one item with a quantity equal to the number of nights at a per-night price. It also sends one item for taxes and one item for each fee.
How to change it. In the HomeRunner Toolkit, go to the Conversion Tracking settings and turn on Reshape items. With this setting on, begin_checkout and purchase events send the property as a single item with quantity 1 at the accommodation total. Taxes are sent as the event’s tax parameter. Fees are summed into a fees_total parameter, and each fee also appears as its own parameter. The event value stays the full booking total, and items purchased then equals the number of bookings.
This change applies only to bookings made after you turn the setting on.
