GA4 placement with your own GTM container

If you use the HomeRunner Toolkit’s Conversion Tracking module with your own GTM container, keep GA4 as a Google tag inside your GTM container.

When the module runs in GTM mode, the GA4 Measurement ID field in the panel is ignored. The panel shows which mode is active.

Avoid counting page views twice. Check that nothing outside the container is also loading your GA4 ID. Rank Math’s Install analytics code option and Google Site Kit can both do this. Inside the container, keep only one Google tag per measurement ID. Otherwise page views are counted more than once.
