# GA4 placement with your own GTM container

If you use the HomeRunner Toolkit's **Conversion Tracking** module with your own GTM container, keep GA4 as a Google tag inside your GTM container.

When the module runs in GTM mode, the **GA4 Measurement ID** field in the panel is ignored. The panel shows which mode is active.

**Avoid counting page views twice.** Check that nothing outside the container is also loading your GA4 ID. Rank Math's **Install analytics code** option and Google Site Kit can both do this. Inside the container, keep only one Google tag per measurement ID. Otherwise page views are counted more than once.

Still stuck? [Contact the HomeRunner team](https://homerunner.io/contact/) with your site address and what you tried, and we take it from there.
