Mobile search: stop calendar opening after destination

On a phone, when a guest picks a destination in the search bar, the calendar opens automatically. You can change this so the search bar stays on the destination step.

Why this happens. The setting that controls this behavior, added in Toolkit 3.320.0, is on by default. The calendar keeps opening after a destination is picked until you turn it off.

How to change it.

  1. In WordPress admin, go to HomeRunner Toolkit > Searchbar Pro > Behavior.
  2. Untick Mobile: dates after destination (labeled Open the calendar after a destination is picked).
  3. Save.

After that, tapping a destination on a phone fills in the Where field and stays on that step. The guest can search immediately or tap When to add dates manually.

On desktop. The equivalent setting is called Chained fields. Turning it off stops the destination step from automatically opening the dates step, and also stops the dates step from opening the guest picker.
