Old accommodation type names still showing

After you rename accommodation types in your PMS, some of the old names can still appear on your website. This happens because content on a HomeRunner-powered site comes from two different places, and each is edited in its own home.

Property listing data comes from your PMS. This includes listing titles, descriptions, photos, and pricing. When you rename a listing title or edit its description text in your PMS, the change flows to your website automatically through the HomeRunner sync. No website edit and no code change is needed. A listing’s title and its description are edited separately, so after renaming titles, check the description text too, since category names often also appear inside the written description.

Website content lives in WordPress. This includes navigation menu labels, page headings, image card blocks, SEO meta descriptions, and page URLs. Whoever manages your website edits these directly on the site. They do not come from your PMS and do not change when you rename things there. If you change a page URL as part of a rename, set up a redirect from the old address at the same time so existing links and search results keep working.

Delisted and archived listings. Also check whether the old name appears on delisted or archived listings in your PMS. These are not visible to guests, so they do not need renaming for the website to look right.

Internal tags. If your PMS account uses internal tags that match your old category names, leave those tags as they are and contact support before renaming them, since website listing filters can reference them.
