A guest’s card is charged during Gravity Forms checkout, but no reservation is created and the guest does not receive a confirmation email.
Why this happens. The booking quote expires while the guest is on the checkout page. The payment gateway charges the card during form validation, but the reservation is then rejected as expired. The submission is discarded, so there is no record of it and no confirmation email is sent to the guest.
How to fix it. Update the HomeRunner Gravity Forms plugin to version 0.5.0 or later. As of 0.5.0, the checkout confirms that the quote is still valid and correctly priced before the card is charged. An expired quote is refreshed or refused before any payment is attempted.
If a charge does go through without a reservation being created, the plugin retains the submission, blocks a duplicate charge, and immediately emails an urgent alert to the site admin. This lets you create the booking manually and contact the guest. You can ask support to add your team’s email address to those alerts.
