A single guest receives several abandoned-cart emails in one night. There are two separate causes. To tell which one applies, check whether the cart records have arrival and departure dates.
Carts without dates. These carts are being created from ordinary property-page views. Older Conversion Kit builds shipped a cart-abandonment checkout_selector that matches an element present on every property page. As a result, a guest who browses several listings logs several "checkout started" carts without ever opening the booking flow. These carts have no dates and no revenue because no booking details were ever entered.
To fix this, update to Conversion Kit 1.107.0 or later, which ships the corrected default selector. If your site cannot update immediately, change the checkout_selector value in the cart-abandonment settings to the current default. This stops new junk carts the same day.
Fixing the selector stops new carts from being created. It does not retire carts already sent to a connected email platform, so existing journeys may keep running until they are closed or expire.
Carts with real dates. These carts are genuine, and multiple sends are expected. Once a guest is identified by email, each distinct abandoned cart is reported separately by design. A guest who abandons three carts across three properties generates three notifications. There is no per-recipient throttle for identified guests.
If you want each contact capped to a single journey regardless of how many properties they abandoned, configure that cap in your email platform’s own journey settings.
