The payment terms note at checkout (for example ‘50% collected 1 day after booking confirmation, remainder 30 days before check-in’) still shows your previous terms after you asked for a change.
Why this happens. The note is not static copy on your website. It is generated live from the Auto Payments policy configured on each listing in your Guesty account. Guesty uses that same policy to schedule the actual charges, so the checkout note and the real charging schedule always reflect the same settings.
What you can do.
- In Guesty, update the Auto Payments policy directly on each affected listing and save the change.
- Contact HomeRunner support so the updated policy can be pulled through to the booking engine.
- Support then confirms that the checkout reads correctly.
Security deposit holds. If your policy includes a fixed amount as a card authorization hold at check-in (a security deposit released after checkout), that amount also appears in the checkout note. It continues to appear until you remove the hold from the policy in Guesty.
