When you save your HomeRunner license key, you see an Invalid License Key error even though the key is correct.
Why this happens. The most common cause is a clipped paste. License keys start with a letter or digit, and drag-selecting often misses the first character, so the server receives a key one character short and rejects it.
What to do.
- Re-copy the key by triple-clicking it or by using a copy button.
- Paste the key again.
- Confirm the first and last characters match what you were sent.
If the key is definitely complete and the error persists, your site may be unable to reach the update server. Ask your host whether outbound requests to hudsoncreative.dev are blocked, or contact HomeRunner support to confirm the key server-side.
