After you install the Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) plugin, your property photo galleries collapse to a single photo.
Why this happens. HomeRunner bundles its own copy of ACF Pro inside the HomeRunner plugin. When a separate ACF plugin (free or Pro) is also installed and active, WordPress loads that copy instead of the bundled one. The free version of ACF does not support the repeater fields HomeRunner uses to store a listing’s photos. Every photo sync then saves the photo list in a format the gallery cannot read, so the gallery shows only one photo.
How to fix it.
- Under Plugins, deactivate or delete the standalone Advanced Custom Fields plugin. The ACF Pro bundled with HomeRunner takes over automatically, and any field groups you built in the ACF screen continue to work.
- Contact HomeRunner support so the affected listings can be re-synced. Photos saved while the other plugin was active need one rewrite to return to the normal format. Running Property Sync yourself is not sufficient on its own.
- Do not reinstall a standalone ACF plugin. If you need ACF for your own page templates, use the Custom Fields screen that HomeRunner’s bundled ACF Pro already provides. No separate license is needed.
