Your WordPress admin may show two HomeRunner plugins, and your site may appear unstyled after you activate one of them.
Why this happens. The genuine HomeRunner plugin always installs in the folder homerunner. A second entry whose folder is homerunner-plugin (visible in the row’s details or the plugin file path) is a defective package. It installs under the wrong folder name and contains no stylesheets, which is why activating it leaves your site unstyled.
How to fix it.
- Deactivate the defective copy (the one in the
homerunner-pluginfolder). Never activate it again. - Install the official package: go to wp-admin → Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, upload the ZIP from your update channel or the link HomeRunner support provides, then select Install Now. Accept Replace current with uploaded if offered.
- Activate the HomeRunner row whose folder is
homerunner. - Delete the leftover
homerunner-pluginentry from the Plugins list. - Clear all caches: your page cache plugin (such as WP Rocket), your host cache, and Cloudflare. Otherwise, cached pages keep serving the broken styling.
Checking the fix. Your property pages render styled again, and /wp-content/plugins/homerunner/assets/css/common.css on your domain loads CSS when you open it in a browser.
