# Two HomeRunner plugins and an unstyled site

Your WordPress admin may show two HomeRunner plugins, and your site may appear unstyled after you activate one of them.

**Why this happens.** The genuine HomeRunner plugin always installs in the folder `homerunner`. A second entry whose folder is `homerunner-plugin` (visible in the row's details or the plugin file path) is a defective package. It installs under the wrong folder name and contains no stylesheets, which is why activating it leaves your site unstyled.

**How to fix it.**

1. Deactivate the defective copy (the one in the `homerunner-plugin` folder). Never activate it again.
2. Install the official package: go to **wp-admin → Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin**, upload the ZIP from your update channel or the link HomeRunner support provides, then select **Install Now**. Accept **Replace current with uploaded** if offered.
3. Activate the HomeRunner row whose folder is `homerunner`.
4. Delete the leftover `homerunner-plugin` entry from the Plugins list.
5. Clear all caches: your page cache plugin (such as WP Rocket), your host cache, and Cloudflare. Otherwise, cached pages keep serving the broken styling.

**Checking the fix.** Your property pages render styled again, and `/wp-content/plugins/homerunner/assets/css/common.css` on your domain loads CSS when you open it in a browser.

Still stuck? [Contact the HomeRunner team](https://homerunner.io/contact/) with your site address and what you tried, and we take it from there.
