Guesty photos and reservations not reaching site

Photos you update in Guesty do not appear on your website, reservations from Guesty are missing from the site, and the magic-link re-sync fails.

Why this happens. When photos and reservations flow correctly from Guesty into HomeRunner but fail to reach the live website, the problem is usually in the delivery step from HomeRunner’s servers to WordPress, not in the Guesty connection itself. If your live site sits behind Cloudflare, Cloudflare can intermittently reject updates before they reach WordPress. This can bounce roughly half of all deliveries. A staging site that is not behind Cloudflare can accept every update without issue at the same time. The error is a Cloudflare-to-origin SSL handshake failure (error 525), which is a settings mismatch between Cloudflare and your hosting provider.

What you can do.

  1. In Cloudflare for your domain, go to SSL/TLS under Overview.
  2. If the mode is set to Full (strict), switch it to Full.
  3. Confirm with your hosting provider that a valid SSL certificate is installed for the domain.
  4. Once that path is clean, contact support to re-trigger a full re-sync. This backfills any missing photos and reservations.
