You have enabled the Travel Protection module in HomeRunner Toolkit, but checkout still shows the old insurance add-on as a quantity stepper, or shows nothing new. Work through these checks in order.
- Confirm the module is on. If checkout shows a Travel Insurance list with Basic, Extended, and No insurance radio buttons but no coverage cards in the main column, the module is installed but not enabled. In WordPress, go to HomeRunner Toolkit, find Travel Protection under Booking, switch it on, and save. Also confirm the Guesty Hosted Checkout module is off, because Travel Protection stands down when that module is enabled. Then open a fresh checkout.
- Check whether the add-on is classified as insurance. The module only takes over add-ons that HomeRunner already classifies as travel insurance. An add-on sold as a percentage upsell with a quantity control is not classified by default. To fix this, go to HomeRunner Toolkit, open Travel Protection, and add a plan override. Enter the add-on’s exact name or its Central add-on ID, turn on Treat as insurance, optionally fill in a display name, provider, policy link, and description, then save.
- Check for Two-Step Checkout. If Two-Step Checkout is enabled, the Travel Protection section appears in the second step, after the guest clicks Continue under Guest Details.
- Use a fresh quote. Load the checkout by picking dates again rather than refreshing an old checkout tab.
- Check for a customized template. If the section still does not appear and the insurance add-on has also disappeared from the sidebar, your site’s booking widget template is a customized copy that predates this feature. Contact HomeRunner support so the template can be updated before the module can display plans.
