You have created custom fields in Guesty for a meta title and meta description, but they do not appear as selectable options in the Source Mapping dropdowns in HomeRunner, and running a property sync does not change this.
Why this happens. Two things need to happen before a new Guesty custom field becomes selectable in HomeRunner, and neither is triggered by a property sync. A property sync alone never refreshes the list of custom fields available to the dropdowns, which is the step most people miss.
What you can do.
- In Guesty, confirm the fields are set at the property (listing) level and that at least one listing has a value saved in each field. Saving a value is what signals HomeRunner to pick up the newly created field, usually within a few minutes. A field that was created but never filled in can take up to an hour to come through.
- In your website’s admin, open HomeRunner settings, go to the Sync section, and click the Refresh button in the Connection box. This reloads the list of custom fields available to the dropdowns.
- Once the fields appear, select them under Source Mapping (Meta Title Source and Meta Desc Source) and save.
- Run a property sync or wait for the next automatic one so the values flow onto your pages.
Properties with an empty field keep their auto-generated title or description.
If the field still does not appear after clicking Refresh, contact support and they can refresh the connection from the HomeRunner side.
