When your guests pay on OwnerRez’s hosted checkout at booking.ownerrez.com, your site’s confirmation page never renders, so no Purchase event fires automatically. There are two supported routes. For complete coverage, use both together.
Route 1: tracking IDs in OwnerRez. In OwnerRez, go to Settings, then Analytics Tracking, and enter your GA4 Measurement ID and Meta Pixel ID. OwnerRez then fires a begin_checkout event and a Purchase event, with the real booking total, on its own checkout pages. This is the event to use when optimizing a Meta Sales campaign.
Route 2: redirect to your own confirmation page.
- In OwnerRez, open the property.
- Go to Rules.
- Set Redirect After Booking URL to a confirmation page on your own domain.
OwnerRez’s confirmation page counts down 20 seconds and then returns the guest to your URL with the booking number appended as a query parameter (for example, ?bookingId=ORB…). HomeRunner Toolkit 3.193.0 and later detects that landing and fires a first-party purchase event with a value of 0, using the booking number as the transaction ID. The event is de-duplicated across revisits.
Important. In your tag manager, map the Route 2 event to GA4 only. Do not also send it to a Meta tag. Meta already receives the Purchase event from Route 1, so it would count each booking twice.
