By default, keyword search in your booking engine can match text from several parts of each listing. You can restrict it so guests only match on amenities that are explicitly listed on each home.
How to change the search scope.
- In the HomeRunner Toolkit, open Keyword Search.
- Find the setting Text guests can match on. It lets you choose which parts of each listing the search reads: title, summary, photo captions, amenities, tags, and groups.
- Untick summary and photo captions, and keep amenities and tags ticked.
- Save your change.
When you save, the search index rebuilds automatically. The control is briefly unavailable while that runs.
Trade-off to be aware of. Narrowing the scope to amenities removes matches that only appear in descriptions or captions. For example, a pizza oven mentioned in a photo caption but not added as a tagged amenity no longer appears in results. Suggested-term counts shrink accordingly.
Hiding individual suggested terms. Separately, under the The search control section, you can hide individual suggested terms (for example "Tennis court") so they are not offered to guests as suggestions. This does not change what typed searches match.
