Street names missing on the property map

If street names are missing on your property map at every zoom level, even when you zoom all the way in, a custom map style is almost certainly hiding them.

Why this happens. Normal Google Maps behavior shows more street names as you zoom in. If names are missing at all zoom levels and zooming in further makes no difference, that points directly at a style rule. In the HomeRunner map settings, the Map Styles field accepts style JSON. A common entry that causes this looks like: { "featureType": "road.local", "elementType": "labels.text", "stylers": [ { "visibility": "off" } ] }

What you can do.

  1. Open the Map Styles field in the HomeRunner map settings.
  2. Find the road.local entry shown above and change "off" to "on", or remove the entry entirely. This restores local street names.
  3. Check the same JSON for "road.highway" with "labels" set to off, which hides highway names.
  4. Check for "labels.text.stroke" set to off combined with a pale label color, which leaves names technically present but unreadable.
  5. Save, then clear any site or page cache and reload the map.
