Your inquiry or Have a Question form shows a success message and the Entries screen shows no failures, but the notification email never reaches your inbox, not even the spam folder.
Why this happens. The most common cause is that your WordPress Administration Email Address is a free-mail address, such as a gmail.com address left over from whoever built the site. Older Conversion Kit versions send notifications ‘From’ that address. Mail that claims to be from gmail.com but is sent by your website’s server fails the receiving provider’s authentication checks. Google-hosted mailboxes in particular reject these messages silently, which is why nothing appears even in spam.
How to fix it.
- Update HomeRunner Conversion Kit to version 1.144.0 or later. From that version, notification emails send from an address on your own website domain by default, which passes authentication, and the WordPress admin email no longer affects delivery.
- Check the notification recipient under the Conversion Kit contact form settings (Recipient Email(s)) and point it at the mailbox you want, for example your main info@ address.
- Submit a test inquiry through the form on any property page and confirm it arrives.
If you prefer a specific sender address instead of the default, set it under the plugin’s Emails settings (From email under Sender).
Missed inquiries are not lost. Every submission is stored on the Entries screen, and you can re-send past entries to your inbox once delivery is working.
