Red stale reviews notice in WordPress admin

You see a persistent red notice in WordPress admin saying the HomeRunner reviews aggregate has been stale for over a day, even though your reviews page is rebuilding successfully.

Why this happens. In HomeRunner Toolkit versions before 3.339.24, the plugin measures staleness from the first change after a rebuild rather than from the last successful rebuild. On busy sites that receive frequent property updates, the staleness timer never fully resets, so the notice persists through multiple successful rebuilds. Throughout this, the reviews page continues serving the last published set of reviews, so visitors see no interruption.

What you can do. This false positive is fixed in HomeRunner Toolkit 3.339.24 and later. Update to the current version in Plugins, then Installed Plugins, then Update.

From version 3.339.24 onward, the persistent red notice in WordPress admin only appears when the very first build has never completed and the reviews archive is showing zero reviews. If you see that specific condition, contact HomeRunner support. Support can trigger the initial build from the server side.

Other health conditions, such as build errors, cache issues and sitemap problems, are still reported in Site Health and the Toolkit Hub status card, but they no longer trigger the persistent red admin notice.
