If a destination that was removed from your site still appears in the search bar, it is most likely in the Recent searches section.
Why this happens. Recent searches is stored in each person’s own browser from their earlier searches on your site. It is not part of your website’s destination list, so new visitors do not see it. It clears when that browser’s site data is cleared, and older entries drop off as newer searches are made, because the list keeps the last five.
