If the [homerunner_searchbar_pro] shortcode appears on your page as plain text instead of a search bar, there are two common causes.
The module is disabled. The Searchbar Pro module ships disabled, and the shortcode only registers while the module is active. To enable it:
- Go to WordPress admin and open Toolkit.
- Find Searchbar Pro in the module list.
- Enable it.
The quotes were converted. If you pasted the shortcode into the classic editor with quoted attributes, WordPress can silently convert straight quotes to curly quotes, which breaks shortcode parsing. Write the attributes without quotes, for example [homerunner_searchbar_pro instance_id=hero submit_url=/vacation-rentals/], or re-type the quotes by hand. You can drop any attributes that just restate defaults.
