Text you type directly into a property description in the WordPress editor is replaced, usually within a day. Edits to your SEO meta fields stay in place.
Why this happens. Property descriptions on your website sync from your property management system (PMS). Each sync run rewrites the page description with the PMS listing content, so text typed directly into the WordPress editor is replaced on the next sync. SEO meta fields are stored separately and are not touched by the sync. This is why those edits stick while body edits do not.
What you can do. There are two supported ways to change the description text.
- Edit the description in your PMS. The site picks up the change on the next sync. Note that this also changes the text your OTA channels receive from the PMS.
- If you want website-specific copy that differs from the PMS listing (common for SEO), contact support for a website description override field. Your custom copy then stays in place and survives the sync.
