Guesty blocked dates still show as available

When you block dates in Guesty, your website calendar may still show those dates as available for a while, even though guests cannot book them.

Why this happens. The website calendar and the booking engine read availability in two different ways. The booking engine checks Guesty live on every booking attempt, so it reflects a new block immediately. The visual calendar is a cached copy that refreshes from Guesty on a schedule, so a new block can take several hours to appear there, up to about half a day on the standard refresh schedule.

What you can do.

  1. Confirm in Guesty that the block saved and covers the exact dates you intended. Open the listing’s calendar in Guesty and check each date. An existing guest reservation and a manual block look similar on the calendar but are different things, and a block that did not fully save does not appear anywhere.
  2. If the block is saved in Guesty on the right dates and still does not show on your website after a few hours, contact support. Support can check that real-time calendar updates are switched on for your integration, so future blocks appear within a few minutes instead of waiting for the next scheduled refresh.
