AI Webmaster connects to AI assistants in two ways.
Assistants that run as an app on your computer, such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, or Cursor, connect with a credential. Open AI Webmaster in the HomeRunner Toolkit Hub, switch it on, create a credential, and paste the connect snippet shown on that page into your assistant’s settings. Copy the credential right away, as it is only shown once. The setup guide for this path is at https://homerunner.io/docs/toolkit-ai-webmaster/.
Browser assistants, meaning the claude.ai website and ChatGPT on the web, connect through a sign-in flow instead of a pasted credential. This is available from HomeRunner Toolkit 3.334.19 and is off until you turn it on. In the AI Webmaster panel of the Toolkit Hub, find the Browser assistants (OAuth) section and press Re-check readiness. When every check reads Reachable, press Turn on OAuth connections and copy the Connect URL shown there. In claude.ai, add a custom connector with that URL; in ChatGPT, add it as an app or connector. The assistant then sends you to your own site, where you approve the connection as an administrator. Once approved, the assistant works through the site’s AI Agent login, never as your own user, and it appears under Connected assistants in the same panel, where a Disconnect button ends its access at any time. Every action it takes is recorded under Activity in the same panel. Turning OAuth connections off ends every browser connection at once.
If a readiness check does not pass, contact support: the site has to serve the discovery addresses the assistants look for, and the HomeRunner team sets that up on hosted sites.
The two paths are separate. Claude Desktop, Claude Code and other desktop apps keep using the credential; the browser sign-in flow does not accept their kind of connection in this version.
