When you or your guests pinch to zoom in on the map on a property page, the map looks right for a moment and then jumps back out as soon as you let go.
Why this happens. This is almost always the map’s maximum zoom setting, not bad coordinates. The map allows a pinch to overshoot the maximum during the gesture, then animates back to the allowed limit as soon as the gesture ends.
What you can do. Raise the property map’s Map Zoom – Maximum setting in the HomeRunner map settings. 18 is the normal ceiling and gives street-level detail.
The zoom the map opens at is a separate setting from the maximum. Raising the maximum lets guests zoom in further, but it does not change the view the map loads with. If the issue is that the default view is too far out, change the initial zoom value as well.
Switching the site to the Google Maps API does not fix this. The map provider is not the cause, and the same zoom settings apply either way.
If the maximum is already at 18 and the pin still looks misplaced at close zoom, check the property’s coordinates in your PMS.
