Duplicate HomeRunner plugin and unstyled calendar

Your WordPress plugins list shows two HomeRunner plugins, or your booking calendar appears with no styling.

Why this happens. The officially packaged HomeRunner plugin always installs into wp-content/plugins/homerunner. That is the correct directory and should be left alone. A directory named wp-content/plugins/homerunner-plugin is a hand-placed or source-control copy. It is missing the plugin’s compiled CSS, because those built files are generated at package time and are not stored in source control. If you activate that copy, the calendar has no styling because the stylesheet requests return "not found".

How to fix it.

  1. Download the official ZIP from the HomeRunner downloads page, not from any source-control link.
  2. In WordPress, go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin and install it, choosing to replace the existing version.
  3. Confirm that the active HomeRunner plugin is the one in wp-content/plugins/homerunner.
  4. Delete the leftover wp-content/plugins/homerunner-plugin directory using SFTP or your host’s file manager.

If the WordPress plugins list still shows a second, inactive HomeRunner entry afterward, delete that entry too. Do not activate the homerunner-plugin copy.

Checking the result. After cleanup, a request for a file under wp-content/plugins/homerunner/assets/css/ should succeed, and a request for any file under wp-content/plugins/homerunner-plugin/ should return "not found". A CDN can keep serving a deleted file for some time, so a stale result shortly after deletion does not necessarily mean the directory is still present.
