If you use Cloudflare, you may wonder whether the Block AI bots setting stops ChatGPT and Claude from reading your vacation rental properties.
How Cloudflare groups AI bots. Under Security > Settings > Configure AI bot policies, Cloudflare splits AI bot traffic into three categories: Training (GPTBot, ClaudeBot), Agent (ChatGPT-User, Claude-User), and Search (OAI-SearchBot, Claude-SearchBot).
What affects live answers. Only the Agent and Search categories affect live answers to users. If Training is blocked but Agent and Search are both allowed, assistants can still read your property feeds and return rates and booking links. Blocking Training only prevents future model training on your content.
What you can do. To give assistants the widest possible access, set all three categories to Allow.
