You have updated your page titles and descriptions, but Google search results still show the old ones.
Why this happens. Google continues showing the version of your pages it last crawled. Recrawls happen on Google’s own schedule, often days to weeks apart.
How to speed it up. You can request a recrawl through Google Search Console:
- In Google Search Console, add your domain as a Domain property using DNS verification. Google gives you a TXT record to add to your DNS.
- Have your web team or support add that TXT record to your domain’s DNS.
- Once the record is live, click Verify in Search Console to confirm ownership.
- Use the URL Inspection tool on each page whose title or description you changed, and click Request Indexing.
Search Console also shows which of your pages Google has already indexed, so you can confirm the update has been picked up.
Keep in mind. Listing sites like Airbnb and VRBO tend to hold the top results for a property name until your domain builds some history. Keeping the property name consistent across your listing titles and your Google Business Profile helps your site’s visibility as much as the indexing request itself.
