Property map zoom setting not updating

You change Property Map Zoom in the Hub, but the map on your property page still opens at the old zoom level. There are two common causes.

Page caching. First, do a hard refresh after saving. If your site uses page caching (hosting-level cache, a caching plugin, or a CDN), purge that cache and test again. Cached pages can keep serving old markup for hours.

Custom map code. If the zoom still does not change after you clear the cache, the most likely cause is custom map code already on your site. A code snippet, theme customization, or custom plugin added before this setting existed may be setting the map zoom itself. That custom code runs after the Toolkit setting and overrides it on every load.

To remove the override:

  1. Check for anything referencing the map or "zoom" in a code-snippets plugin, your theme’s functions.php, must-use plugins, or any site-specific plugin.
  2. Remove the zoom-setting portion of that code. Other map customizations in the same snippet, such as scroll behavior or button settings, can stay. This lets the Hub setting take effect.
  3. Purge the page cache again before testing.

Choosing a zoom value. 10 shows the city, 14 shows the neighborhood (the HomeRunner default), and 17 shows the street level. The setting applies to both Google Maps and OpenStreetMap.
