Guesty listings piling up in WordPress Trash

You may see hundreds of listings collecting in the WordPress Trash on your site.

Why this happens. When your Guesty account is shared across multiple property management companies, listings that do not match your site’s inclusion tag filter are pulled in and then immediately deactivated and trashed. A large backlog typically means the inclusion tag filter was applied after many listings had already been imported as published posts. WordPress does not automatically remove trashed posts, so they accumulate.

What you can do. The fix has two parts:

  1. Clear the existing backlog of trashed posts.
  2. Work with support to make sure the sync filter excludes non-matching listings before they ever reach your site.
