Partner Commission Report: how bookings are credited

The Partner Commission Report credits each booking to a source site using two signals.

Tagged links. When the link that brought the guest carries a utm_source value, the report uses that value. A utm_source value always takes priority.

Referring domain. When the link has no tag, the report falls back to the referring website’s domain and credits that domain automatically. For example, a visitor who arrives from example-partner.com is credited to example-partner-com. This fallback is available starting with Conversion Kit 1.145.0.

You do not need to register anything in advance for a booking to count under either method.

First and last visit. The report looks at both the first visit and the last visit before the booking. You can switch between them using the touch selector. A partner site that the guest visits only in the middle of their journey, not as the first or last touchpoint, is not credited.

Sources that never count. Search engines, social networks, booking marketplaces, AI assistants, webmail, payment pages, and your own website are never counted as a partner source.

Why tagged links are more reliable. Browsers can drop the referring site on some redirects and with certain privacy settings, so tagged links remain the more reliable option for your partners.

Bookings recorded before the 1.145.0 update keep the credit they already had.
