The Review Importer is in the WordPress admin under Toolkit Hub > Review Importer and takes one CSV at a time. Prepare each file of past guest reviews as follows.
- Save the file as CSV UTF-8 (Comma delimited) in Excel, not plain CSV. Plain CSV mangles curly apostrophes and accented characters.
- Include a column with the listing’s Internal Name exactly as it appears on the website listing. This is the internal or PMS name, not the marketing title. The importer matches each row to a listing by that value first, and a row whose Internal Name does not match any listing is skipped. If a listing was renamed, use its current name.
- Give every review a written text column. Rows with a star rating but no text are skipped, because the site only displays written reviews.
- Enter dates as month/day/year with a four-digit year, for example 6/24/2024. A date the importer cannot read is replaced with today’s date, so fix values like "23-Aug" or "06/24/224" before uploading.
- Keep a star rating column (1 to 5). The wizard’s minimum-rating setting decides which rows import.
- In the wizard, map the columns by hand where the automatic mapping misses one, for example "Property Title" to Property Name and "Review Content" to Review Body. Set the per-property cap to 0 if a unit has more than 50 reviews. Use a source label other than "HomeRunner" so the imported reviews survive the regular sync.
- Do not upload the same file twice. Without a Review ID column, the importer cannot detect duplicates.
