Hiding the payment step on the default HomeRunner checkout does not let you create instant bookings without charging guests.
Why this happens. Guesty expects a payment method when the reservation is created. Checkouts without a payment method are rejected, even if the payment fields are hidden.
What you can do. To create confirmed bookings with no on-site charge, use the Gravity Forms checkout integration with no payment feed attached. In the integration settings:
- Disable the built-in HomeRunner checkout.
- Select your checkout page.
- Set the reservation type to Booking.
When the form is submitted, the confirmed reservation is created in Guesty. No charge occurs, because payment only runs when a payment gateway feed fires.
You can attach a payment feed later to start taking payment without rebuilding anything.
