One dashboard for engagement, conversion, and attribution data pulled from across your HomeRunner plugins, so you are not piecing analytics together from separate screens.
What it does #
Your booking site’s real activity is scattered across the Toolkit, Conversion Kit, and AI Concierge, each with its own partial view, if it has one at all. Insights collects engagement, form-entry, cart-recovery, and chat data from every active HomeRunner plugin into one dashboard, organized into three tabs, with every number labeled by where it came from and how much you can trust it.
- Overview: your booking funnel, daily visits and form entries, AI Booking Channel activity, AI Concierge chat activity, and, once Conversion Kit’s cart-recovery tool is active, your cart-abandonment funnel (carts tracked, recovery banners shown, banner clicks, and recoveries).
- Engagement: which tools and actions guests interact with, your busiest pages and properties, form entries broken down by form, and cart-recovery results (recoveries and recovered value, split by attribution).
- Attribution: visits by marketing channel and device, plus AI-attributed booking counts. This tab is labeled indicative because it is based on browser tracking, not verified reservations.
Every card names its source plugin, states whether the number is server-recorded or client-reported, and says how long that data is retained, so nothing on the page reads as more certain than it actually is. Where a chart supports it, clicking a bar (a specific tool, page, or channel) opens that item’s daily trend for the same date range.
If a plugin is not active, or its version has not yet been verified against this Toolkit release, Insights says so directly instead of quietly showing an empty chart. It also never presents partial history as the complete picture: a source you just turned on shows as still being processed until its history catches up, rather than showing a misleadingly flat or low chart.
A Related: Demand Radar link at the bottom of the page jumps you to unmet-demand signals gathered from your availability watchers, one click away even though that page itself lives in the advanced Tools group of your admin menu. This link only appears when Conversion Kit is active on your site.
How to turn it on #
1. Switch on Insights #
In the HomeRunner Toolkit Hub, find Insights under the Analytics section, and switch it on.
2. Open the dashboard #
Open Insights from the HomeRunner admin menu, or click Open Insights on the module’s own settings panel. It opens on its own full-width page.
3. Pick a tab and a date range #
Use the tabs at the top to switch between Overview, Engagement, and Attribution, and the range buttons to view the last 7, 30, or 90 days. Thirty days is the starting view.
Settings #
| Setting | What it controls |
|---|---|
| Tab (Overview / Engagement / Attribution) | Which group of cards you are viewing: the booking-and-conversion summary, the detailed tool/page/form breakdown, or channel and device attribution. |
| Date range (7 / 30 / 90 days) | The window every card on the current tab reports over. |
What an empty card means #
A card that shows a note instead of a chart is in one of these states, and each note names its own next step:
- No data yet. Nothing was recorded for that card in the range you picked, for example “No form entries recorded in the last 7 days”. The note says what starts the card: the first tracked page view for visits, the first tool interaction (search, wishlist, availability watcher and similar) for tool events, the first submission for form entries. Try a longer range; otherwise nothing is wrong.
- Aggregation pending. Insights processes history in hourly passes. Until the first pass finishes, or when your range starts earlier than the point history has reached, the card waits and names the next run, for example “Next aggregation run in 34 mins”. If your host runs scheduled tasks from its own cron rather than from WordPress, the note says so.
- Source not verified. Insights reads Conversion Kit data only from versions this Toolkit has verified. The note names both installed versions and the exact move: update HomeRunner Toolkit when a newer one is offered to your site, update Conversion Kit when it is older than the verified range, or check for updates when nothing is on offer yet. If a Conversion Kit version failed the compatibility check, the note gives the reason and the check retries on its own. When Conversion Kit is not active at all, the note says so and links to your Plugins screen.
- Could not be read. If the numbers could not be read just now, the card says so instead of reporting zero activity. Reload the page; if it persists, the chips at the top of the page name the source with the problem.
A card behind a delayed hourly pass keeps its data and adds a warning that the most recent hours may be undercounted.
Tips #
- Cart-abandonment funnel data (carts tracked, banners shown and clicked, recoveries) only appears once Conversion Kit’s Cart Abandonment Recovery tool is active on your site.
- The AI Concierge cards fill in once the AI Concierge plugin is active; see the AI Concierge overview.
- For the full detail behind the AI Booking Channel numbers (which crawlers, which properties), see Toolkit: AI Booking Channel.
- If a card shows a note instead of data, the section above explains what it means and what to do. The chips at the top of the page report the same conditions for the whole dashboard.
- The Demand Radar link at the bottom of the page, and the rest of your internal/diagnostic pages, live in the Tools group of your admin menu. See Toolkit: Admin Menu if that group is hidden.
- See the Toolkit Overview for how Insights fits alongside the rest of Toolkit.
