Toolkit: Amenity Order

Amenity Order makes property pages show your amenities in the custom order you set in the HomeRunner Plugin, instead of always falling back to alphabetical.

What it does #

The HomeRunner Plugin lets you drag amenities into a custom order under Properties → Amenities → Change Order, and it saves that order. On its own, though, the property page template lists amenities alphabetically no matter what order you saved, so the time spent arranging “Pool” before “Parking” never shows up for a guest.

Amenity Order fixes that: once it is on, property pages show amenities in the order you set. Amenities you have not ordered yet keep their alphabetical order and simply sort in after the ones you have arranged, the same rule the plugin’s own amenities screen already uses, so a partially-ordered list still looks sensible while you finish arranging the rest.

This only changes what guests see on the property page. It does not touch the admin screens where you manage or reorder amenities.

How to turn it on #

1. Switch on the module #

In the HomeRunner Toolkit Hub, switch on Amenity Order.

2. Set your order #

If you have not already, go to Properties → Amenities → Change Order in the HomeRunner Plugin and drag your amenities into the order you want. If you skip this step, amenities keep showing alphabetically, since there is no custom order yet for the module to apply.

3. Nothing else to configure #

There are no further settings. The property page picks up your saved order immediately.

Tips #

  • If amenities still show alphabetically after you turn this on, check whether you have actually set a custom order yet under Properties → Amenities → Change Order. Amenities with no saved order keep sorting alphabetically after the ones you have arranged.
  • New sites created after this module shipped have it switched on by default. If your site existed before that, it keeps whatever state it already had, so turn it on yourself in the Hub if you want it.
