Fills in the average rating and review count on every property automatically, keeping your review markup valid for Google and complete in your AI feeds.
What it does #
Google requires an aggregate rating alongside individual reviews in your page markup. Without one, Search Console flags your property pages with “Multiple reviews without aggregateRating object” and treats the review markup on those pages as invalid. One expectation to set: Google does not display star ratings for reviews a site collects and hosts itself, so the value here is error-free, machine-readable listing data for search engines and AI assistants. Property Rating Stats computes each property’s average rating and review count from its synced reviews and keeps that number current automatically.
- When you turn it on, it backfills every existing property in the background, in batches, so properties that have been live for a while get ratings without any manual work.
- It recomputes a property’s rating automatically whenever a review is added or removed.
- If a guest visits a property page whose rating was never computed, or came back as zero because its review posts were not correctly linked to it, the module quietly repairs the linkage and recomputes in the background.
- It skips properties on sites that pull their rating or review count from a PMS custom field instead, so it never overwrites a rating source you have already configured.
How to turn it on #
1. Switch on Property Rating Stats #
In the HomeRunner Toolkit Hub, find Property Rating Stats under the Reviews section, and switch it on.
2. Let the backfill run #
Nothing else to configure. The first backfill starts automatically within seconds of activation and works through your properties in batches until every one is covered.
Tips #
- If Search Console still shows the aggregateRating error right after turning this on, give the backfill a little time on sites with a large number of properties.
- If you already map ratings or review counts from your PMS, this module intentionally sits out on those properties so it does not fight that source.
- See Managing Property Ratings and Review Counts for how ratings display on your property pages.
- See the Toolkit Overview for the rest of the Reviews section.
