Conversion Kit: Booking Reminder

1 min read

A “Remind Me to Book Later” button that captures a guest’s email and a delay they choose, then emails them a nudge to come back and book the property after that interval.

What it does #

Booking Reminder adds a “Remind Me to Book Later” button to your property pages. A guest who is interested but not ready picks how long to wait (for example, in 1 hour, in 4 hours, tomorrow, in two days, or in a week), enters their email, and Conversion Kit sends them one reminder email after that interval with a link straight back to the property.

It is built for the “I love this but let me think” moment. Rather than letting that guest drift away, you capture a lightweight intent signal and bring them back at the time they themselves chose.

How a reminder flows:

  • The guest taps the button, picks a delay, and enters their email.
  • Because a reminder is a single, one-time message, there is no verification step. The guest confirms intent by setting the reminder, and the email goes out once after the chosen delay.
  • The reminder email links back to the exact property so the guest can pick up where they left off.

How guest accounts fit in #

Booking Reminder works on its own by capturing an email at the button. If guest accounts (identity-aware mode) are on and the guest is signed in, their email is pre-filled so setting a reminder is one tap. See Guest Identity and Guest Portal.

Booking Reminder is a single-use message, so it skips double opt-in. That is different from a recurring subscription like Price Alerts, which always verifies the email first.

How to turn it on #

1. Open the Conversion Kit tools #

Go to HomeRunner -> Conversion Kit and find Booking Reminder in the tool list.

2. Enable the tool #

Toggle Booking Reminder on. The button appears on your property pages automatically.

3. Confirm your email delivery #

The reminder is delivered by email, so make sure your site sends email reliably.

Settings #

  • Button Text: the label on the button (default “Remind Me to Book Later”).
  • Delay Options: the wait choices offered to the guest, in hours (default 1, 4, 24, 48, and 168, which reads as in 1 hour through in 1 week).
  • Email Subject: the subject line of the reminder, supporting the {property_title} variable (default “Your reminder to book {property_title}”).
  • Max Reminders Per Property: how many reminders one guest can set on the same property (default 1).

Tips #

  • Keep the delay options short and human. “Tomorrow” and “In a week” convert better than odd hour counts.
  • Use {property_title} in the subject so the reminder feels personal and obviously about the place they were viewing.
  • Leave the per-property limit at 1 so a single guest cannot stack duplicate reminders for the same stay.
  • Pair Booking Reminder with Cart Abandonment Recovery to cover both the “thinking about it” guest and the “started checkout and left” guest.
