Turns your guest reviews into trust badges, a plain-language “what guests are saying” summary, an auto-generated FAQ, and seasonal highlights, right on the property page. For operators who have great reviews but want them working harder at the booking decision.
What it does #
Most sites bury reviews at the bottom of the page where few guests scroll. Review Insights reads through a property’s reviews with AI and surfaces the useful parts where they matter most: a star-rating trust badge near the booking widget, a short summary of what guests consistently love, an FAQ built from the questions reviewers actually answer, and seasonal notes about when the home shines. The raw reviews stay where they are; this adds a distilled, decision-ready layer on top.
- Trust badge near the booking widget showing rating and review count
- Review summary card (“What Guests Are Saying”) with the highlights guests repeat
- Frequently Asked by Guests section generated from review content
- Seasonal highlights drawn from when guests visited
- Feeds review-based tags into other tools (for example “best for” tags used by the Split Cost Calculator)
The insights are generated once per property and reused, so there is no per-visit AI cost or slowdown for guests.
How to turn it on #
1. Open the settings #
Go to HomeRunner Conversion Kit in your WordPress admin and open the Review Insights tab.
2. Add your AI key #
Enter your OpenRouter API key and confirm the model. The default model is a high-quality Claude model well suited to summarizing reviews.
3. Choose what to show #
Enable the trust badge, the review summary, the FAQ section, and the seasonal section as you like. With auto-processing on, insights are generated automatically when a property’s reviews are saved.
Settings #
- OpenRouter API key and model – the AI service and model used to generate insights (default model
anthropic/claude-sonnet-4.5). - Trust badge – show it on or off; set the minimum number of reviews before it appears (default 3) and an optional link target (for example jump to the reviews section).
- Review summary – show the “What Guests Are Saying” card; customize its heading and the read-more link text. Limit how many highlighted features are shown (default 6).
- FAQ section – show the auto-generated FAQ; customize its heading.
- Seasonal section – show seasonal highlights on or off.
- Auto-process on save – regenerate insights automatically when reviews change (default on).
- Reviews per batch and minimum star rating – control how many reviews feed each AI run and whether low-rated reviews are included.
- Brand voice – optional guidance so the generated text sounds like your brand.
Placing the pieces manually #
The trust badge and insight sections appear automatically near the booking widget, but you can also place them exactly where you want:
[hrck_trust_badge]– the rating and review-count badge[hrck_trust_badge href="#reviews"]– badge that links to your reviews section[hrck_review_summary]– the “What Guests Are Saying” summary card
Tips #
- Set the minimum-reviews threshold so the trust badge only appears on homes with enough reviews to be credible.
- Use the brand-voice field to keep the AI summaries on-tone instead of generic.
- Review Insights stacks naturally with Rate Comparison and the Activity Counter to put trust, savings, and demand signals together near the booking decision.
