AI Concierge: Slack Notifications

3 min read

Get a Slack message the moment the AI Concierge captures a new lead, so your team can follow up while the guest is still warm.

What it does #

When a guest shares their contact details through the AI Concierge, that lead is one of the most valuable things the concierge produces, but only if someone acts on it quickly. An email notification is easy to miss in a busy inbox, and the longer a lead sits unanswered, the colder it gets.

Slack Notifications close that gap. When the AI Concierge captures a lead, this integration posts a tidy message to the Slack channel you choose, alongside the operator email that already goes out. Your team sees new leads where they already work and can pick them up right away.

Each Slack message includes:

  • The guest’s name and email, plus their phone number if they shared one.
  • A short conversation summary of what the guest was looking for and where the chat left off, so whoever responds has context without reading the full transcript.
  • The properties shown in chat, linked straight to their listings.
  • A View lead in WordPress button that opens the full lead record in your dashboard.

Slack is the integration available today, and notifications are sent when a guest submits the lead form in the concierge.

How to turn it on #

1. Create a Slack incoming webhook #

In Slack, create an Incoming Webhook for the channel where you want lead notifications to land, and copy the webhook URL it gives you. Slack walks you through this in their incoming webhooks guide.

2. Turn on the integration #

In your AI Concierge settings, open the Integrations tab and switch on Slack Notifications.

3. Paste the webhook URL #

Paste the URL you copied into the Slack Webhook URL field.

4. Send a test message #

Click Send test message. A confirmation should appear in your Slack channel within a few seconds. Once you see it, save your settings.

Notifications begin as soon as the toggle is on and a webhook URL is saved. Both are required, so a saved toggle with an empty URL sends nothing.

Settings #

SettingWhat it controls
Slack NotificationsTurns the Slack integration on or off. Off by default. When on, a Slack message is sent each time a guest submits their contact details through the concierge.
Slack Webhook URLThe incoming webhook address for the Slack channel that should receive lead notifications. This and the toggle both have to be set for any message to send.
Send test messagePosts a sample notification to your channel so you can confirm the connection before relying on it. You can test a URL you have just typed in, before saving it.

Tips #

  • This integration rides on top of Lead Capture. Leads have to be captured for Slack messages to fire, and the operator email still sends as well.
  • Not seeing messages? Check that the Slack Notifications toggle is on and a valid Slack Webhook URL is saved, then click Send test message to confirm the connection. A Slack outage never blocks lead capture, so your leads are always saved in WordPress even if a message fails to send.
